Character Owned By: Vertigo Height: 6' 3" Weight: 231 lbs Hometown:Boston, Massachusetts Entrance Music: Last - Nine Inch Nails Signature Moves: Balefire Bomb (Spiral Bomb) Broken Dreams (Twisting Senton) The Clip (Diamond Dust) Bio: Vertigo has always lived a step above the rest. It's always been as if, when something terrible happens, he lands on his feet and someone else, innocent or otherwise, suffers as a result. Vertigo began his wrestling career after training with the great "Killer" Kowalski at his training center in Malden, Massachusetts. Fresh out of the gate Vertigo botched a twisting senton and broke his neck. He blamed the incident on his opponent who has subsequently been blackballed by everyone in professional wrestling. His tenacity earned him a run in Japan, where he was met with moderate success. Following his tour of Japan and east Asia, Vertigo made his debut in the SWF in November of 2004 and promptly won the SWF Intercontinental Championship from Minion. Although his reign did not last long, Vertigo defeated Cobra in his first Steel Cage Match to become the #1 Contender to the SWF Heavyweight Championship. "The Liftor" John Curry, who was the champion at the time, issued an open challenge which Vertigo accepted and named a one hour Iron Man Match. Vertigo defeated Curry to win the title, which he would hold until the collapse of the SWF. In the April of 2005, Juan Hefe opened the doors to the MWA and invited Vertigo to join if he threw down the SWF Championship and in return receive a shot at the MWA Heavyweight Championship. As things worked out, both the SWF & MWA championships were merged into the NMHC Heavyweight Championship, around the waist of Curry. Vertigo altered his focus and began stacking up victories with the help of his wife, "Beautiful" Brooke Sage, and his protege, "Ganja Man" Matt Pierce. Vertigo even created his own championship (MWA United States Championship) although he was quickly defeated for it, it has lived on long after. In August of 2005, following John Curry taking over Friday Night Afterburn, Vertigo debuted Sunday Night Delirium (eventually Tuesday Night Delirium) and continued to rack up victories and championships. In September of 2005, Vertigo was a SWF & MWA Tag-Team Champion (with Matt Pierce & Johnny Knockout respectively) and was the referee for the match that saw Pierce finally defeat Knockout and create the NMHC Tag-Team Championship. V didn't sit on his hands and wait though since shortly thereafter he helped repel the UCW invasion of MWA with the help of his nemesis, John Curry. During that invasion Vertigo set the record for fastest match in the MWA when he defeated Seth Lawless in 38 seconds during a Steel Cage Match. Vertigo then used his vast resources and purchased the MWA from it's owners, Violent Panda Marketing. Vertigo began a reign of terror running the show that culminated in him defeated John Curry for the NMHC Heavyweight Championship in the seventh match of a best of seven series. Vertigo embarked on a record setting title reign before finally losing the title to Chris Revolution after learning his wife, Brooke Sage was pregnant. Following the collapse of the MWA, Vertigo has not been seen or heard from aside from close friends and family. His wife recently gave birth to twins, the couples first children. Rumors have run rampant that his drug & alcohol abuse have caught up with him and he's dead, in jail or in rehab. Other rumors persist that he has been offered contracts by both NWA-TNA and the WWE. Vertigo remains mysteriously silent.
