MWA News--Kenta Kobashi apologises, More on the Revolution
5/7/05
-Kenta Kobashi made a formal apology today about the condition of MWA superstar, Pyro. Apparently, the broken neck injury was a complete accident--and to not trust 'other sources,' he said with a slight grin, about what happened. We'll let you know if anything further happens.
-Big Brute Beefcake will apparently sign an MWA contract at a later date, as currently he is touring with New Japan. "I want to finish up what I'm doing right now," the hulking powerhouse said. "I'll come to MWA when I feel I'm good and ready."
-Juan Hefe is, reportedly, getting very impressed by Chris Revolution's continuous dark match/opener showings. Fans are even beginning to hop onto a Revolution bandwagon. We asked Chris Revolution if Hefe has had a talk with him about moving up the ranks, and he had this to say:
"Hefe has told me that I'll be moving up very shortly. He sees me as a future heavyweight champion, but that I'm nowhere close to that level yet. I need to be more over with the fans, and build up a character. And I feel that MWA's midcard will be the perfect place to do that."
-Prior to joining MWA, Chris Revolution was (once again) being managed by TNA's Diamond Dallas Page. We asked Page if Hefe, Revolution, or any MWA employee has contacted him about a run. "Nope, I haven't heard nothin' from 'em yet," he said, but then added, "But I hope they do bring me in at some point in the future. I'd love to work with some of the guys there--and it'd be great to bring back the DDP/Revolution feud."
-El Hijo Del Perra will, apparently, be getting an attire makeover in the near future. This is thanks to MWA's new creative director, Ozzy Smith. "EHDP's had the same mask and funky Hawaiian shirt for ages now. It's time for an update." Ozzy Smith (or 'OS,' as his friends call him) will also be making a few changes in the design of the MWA arenas.
