Lads and Ladies, you know what time it is! - The MWA has been heating up lately with rumours of an influx of talent from the now defunct UCW promotion. Already present in the MWA and causing major waves are "The Regulator" Seth Lawless and "The Jackal" Kurtis Gunn, both main eventers in UCW at the time of its demise.
When asked about the possibility of adding 10-15 workers to his burgeoning promotion, Juan Hefe had this to say:
"Listen, I'd like to provide a home for all talented workers, but the reality is that our roster is at a manageable size right now. Down the road, we'll see what happens."
Interestingly, Hefe has started booking more and more house shows with local indy talent which would seem to contradict his earlier statement.
- Recent house show results for the MWA:
October 8th, 2005: 1. Fromunda over Dragon Warrior B. 2. "Flame Enforcer" Ryan Kilst and "Blue Valkyrie" Mistress Jessica over The Lords of Pain (Lord Tyrannus and Lord Bane) 3. El Hijo Del Perra over "Electrifying" Ryan Helms. 4. Johnny Knockout over Ted Tsavales. 5. "The LIFTOR" John Curry over Dragon Warrior A.
October 12th, 2005: 1. "The LIFTOR" John Curry and "Flame Enforcer" Ryan Kilst over Dragon Warriors A and B. 2. Vertigo over "Big Brute" Barry Blast. 3. "The Dark Angel" James Dark over AngelDust. 4. EFF Dash over Giant Bernard. 5. Team MWA over The Lords of Pain.
